I chose to use pictures I had from Maine that I never used for anything. They had a lot of lines and many shapes. There was also a a lot of texture in these pictures as well. I think that I made a good choice with these pictures but that I could've used a wider variety of locations.
These pictures are pictures of a waterfall I found while I was in Maine. It looked really cool so I figured I'd take a few pictures to show to friends, but I looked at them and realized there was a lot of shape, lines, and implied lines.
I was actually standing at the top of a bridge when I took these, so I would guess around 50-60 feet away from the waterfall.
The point of views for these were mainly straight on, with one looking down.
I took these pictures horizontally but with the cropping that could've changed the size of the picture itself.
I did not think of the rule of thirds at the time, I just wanted to take a picture of the waterfall.
On the very last photo your eye is lead from one end of the waterfall to the other, but your eye can start following it at the top or bottom, whichever you look at first will transition into the other.
